Whole animal nutrition.
We use USDA human-grade livestock that are safely ground, blended then formed into bites and slowly freeze-dried for 48 hours. Our process not only preserves nutrients, but also naturally preserves the intense aroma, irresistible flavor and crunchy bite of these rewards. Bones and organs are an essential part of the canine appropriate diet.
Bones and organs.
Studies suggest that like their wolf ancestors, or even African wild dogs, our domesticated pups greatly benefit from whole animal nutrients. Dogs instinctively crave organs and bones and not just for flavor and texture. Bones and antlers are dense in calcium which is vital to your dog's skeletal health and magnesium, which helps their body absorb calcium and other minerals. Organs are B-vitamin and vitamin A power foods and are rich in minerals like zinc, iron, magnesium, copper and manganese. Each organ has different concentrations of these nutrients which is why we blend them to reflect a more species-appropriate diet.
Why fruits and vegetables?
Some fruits and vegetables are great snacks for dogs and are beneficial to good health when used sparingly. Chef adds just enough blueberries to our natural duck dog treats to mimic what a predator may find in the stomach of its prey in the wild. Wolves in Minnesota have recently been observed eating wild blueberries right off the bush and feeding them to their pups. This makes perfect sense to us. Blueberries are powerful superfoods, high in antioxidants and possess anti-inflammatory benefits which easily fit into your dog's daily wellness routine.
What are mixed tocopherols?
Natural mixed tocopherols are forms of vitamin E that help maintain the freshness and shelf life of our treats. We use them because they are a natural alternative to synthetic antioxidants, such as BHT, BHA and TBHQ. Also, vitamin E is essential to the canine diet and helps stop the cycle of cell damage.

Salmon
Salmon is a great source of omega-3 fatty acids, which support the immune system, may help decrease inflammation, and can keep your dog’s coat shiny and skin healthy. It is also a great source of protein especially for many dogs that may be allergic to chicken.
Apples
Dogs love the smell and taste of apples, which are a great source of vitamin C. Apples are a good source of fiber, as well, which can help nourish the beneficial bacteria in your dog's belly, improving long term health.
Lentils
Lentils are a great low calorie source of iron, fiber and protein. We add them to Woof Creek Power Squares for the natural energy they provide to a busy dog.
Flaxseed
Flaxseed has been called the world's first superfood. It is rich in omega-3 fatty acids, protein, fat, and insoluble fiber. It’s addition to our Power Squares not only increases the protein and omega levels, but it also is a natural binder. The insoluble fiber is a great prebiotic. The wonders of this superfood are still being discovered and we will keep researching its benefits for happy dogs.
Vegetable Glycerin
This is a commonly used natural preservative that helps prevent microbial growth while maintaining moisture. Our Power Squares are chewy but still tough enough to give a strong bite. We use just enough to coat the water molecules in microscopic blankets to safely maintain the perfect treat moisture.
Vinegar and Citric Acid
Strong natural preservatives that also enhance flavor without the addition of salts.
Rosemary Extract
Powerful natural antioxidant and preservative. Rosemary is a safe alternative to chemical preservatives and is safe for dogs.
Green Tea Extract
Green tea has a plethora of healthful benefits, but mostly for humans. We use it in small percentages for its oxygen fighting capabilities as a preservative.
